Addie Osborne Named No. 15 Third Baseman In Softball America May Position Rankings
Apr 29 | Softball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers sophomore Addie Osborne was named one of the top 15 third basemen in Softball America's May position rankings.
Osborne has seen tremendous growth both on the field and at the plate in her second season "On The Banks". After hitting .197 last season, Osborne currently leads the Scarlet Knights hittting .363 with a team-leading 43 runs, 11 doubles and 46 RBIs, along with 45 hits, 13 home runs and 1.263 OPS. Osborne has helped Rutgers set a new school record in home runs and has the Scarlet Knights in the hunt for a new season standard in runs and RBIs. The Erie, Colorado native broke the previous RU home run record of 54 set by the 2024 squad during the Scarlet Knights' series with Purdue and has helped her squad to 66 home runs to date. Osborne also has the Scarlet Knights four runs and four RBIs shy of breaking the school record entering the final weekend of regular season play.
In the year, Osborne has collected 11 multiple-hit and 12 multiple-RBI games, including a career-high five RBIs against Notre Dame and versus FDU in the first home games at the newly renovated RU Softball Complex.
Osborne has started all 107 games of her career at the hot corner, taking over for Payton Lincavage, the 2023 Golden Glove Award third base winner.
