LINCOLN, Neb. – Kevin O'Sullivan and Brian O'Sullivan set the school pole vault record with matching 5.62m marks and the men's 4x100m relay team ran to a program best on the final day of the Big Ten Championships at Nebraska. Overall, Rutgers track and field earned seven podium spots on Sunday.
"Great effort this weekend," said Bobby Farrell, Director of Track and Field and Cross Country. "The team put it all out there. It was great to break a few records and get a champion. It's been a historic year and a lot to build on for the future. Plus, we're excited to send the most ever to NCAAs in two weeks. We can't wait to get down to Kentucky."
Kevin O'Sullivan claimed the bronze medal in pole vault after clearing in fewer attempts, as Brian O'Sullivan took fourth. Kevin O'Sullivan previously had the RU record with a 5.60m showing at the IC4A Championships in April.
