Wood, Saccomando & Moran Named CRCA All-Americans

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Three Rutgers women's rowers were named to all-america teams, it was announced on Friday by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). Lily Wood and Chiara Saccomando were named CRCA Second Team All-Americans, while Elena Moran was selected as a CRCA Honorable Mention All-American.
All three Scarlet Knights helped Rutgers to an 11th-place finish at the 2026 NCAA Championships and repeat as silver team medalists at the 2026 Big Ten Championships. As members of the Varsity 8, they captured 11th at the NCAA Championships, placing fifth in the petite final, and were runner-ups at the Big Ten Championships.
Wood joins former Scarlet Knight Hannah Heideveld as a three-time CRCA All-American. She repeats as a CRCA Second Team All-American, having also earned the accolade last season, and earns her third overall all-america distinction, having been awarded honorable mention honors in 2024. In her final season rowing "On The Banks", Wood became the second Scarlet Knight in program history to be named First Team All-Big Ten three times.
Saccomando and Moran also joined Wood as First Team All-Big Ten honorees.
Under ninth-year head coach Justin Price, Rutgers women's rowing has earned 21 all-america honors. It also marks the second consecutive season the Scarlet Knights earned three national distinctions.
