Florence Robitaille Named to Team Canada Junior Pan Pacific Championships Squad

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Incoming Rutgers swimmer Florence Robitaille was recognized by Team Canada Swimming, as she was selected for the team's roster for the upcoming 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, set for August 17-20 at the UBC Aquatic Centre in Vancouver.
Robitaille is one of 40 athletes in her age group selected to represent Canada in the 11th edition of the international junior competition, which will be hosted in Canada for the first time. The 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships will include over 300 swimmers from 16 countries for four days of racing.
A member of the Canadian National Team, Robitaille is a four-star and top-100 recruit entering Rutgers. She was a Junior bronze medalist at the Canadian trials in 2025, Bronze medalist at the O|I in 2024 and Silver medalist at the Canadian championships in 2024. A backstroker, she set the Quebec provincial age group record at age 16 in the 200M Backstroke. Her top times are 1:03.09 LCM in the 100 Backstroke and 2:13.98 LCM in the 200 Backstroke.
"Flo will arrive at RU with the maturity and edge that come from competing with Team Canada, pairing elite international experience with a résumé of high-level achievements in the pool and the classroom," said Rutgers head coach Jon Maccoll upon the announcement of her signing with Rutgers. "She trains with an Olympic mindset every day, and we believe she has the talent, discipline, and ambition to make an impact not only in college swimming, but ultimately on the world's biggest stage."
