Lu Set for 126th U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Grace Lu from Rutgers women's golf will compete at the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, held August 4-9 at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee. She tees off for her opening round on Tuesday at 1:33 p.m.
Lu is the first Scarlet Knight to reach the event since Leigha Devine in 2022. She secured her spot by co-medaling at her June qualifier at Copper Hill Country Club with a 3-under-par 69. Lu carries strong momentum into the tournament, having recently claimed a semifinal appearance at the 101st New Jersey Women's Amateur and a runner-up finish at the Women's Met Open.
She joins an elite field featuring 40 of the world's top 100 amateur golfers, including five ranked in the top 10.
