Walker Named a Comeback Player of the Week

PISCATAWAY, N.J. ā Rutgers football LB Moses Walker earned recognition as a Comeback Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday. Each week the Comeback Player of the Year Award honors up to three offensive and three defensive players from the preseason watch list.
After missing the final eight games last season due to injury, Walker returned to the field week one with three tackles. Then last week at Boston College, the Staten Island, New York, native posted two interceptions and a sack. It was the first time a Scarlet Knight had multiple picks in a game since Christian Izien achieved the feat in 2020 versus Nebraska.
Walker and OL Dantae Chin were both named to the Comeback Player of the Year watch list released by College Sports Communicators, The Associated Press and Fiesta Bowl Organization in August.
The Scarlet Knights open Big Ten play Saturday at SHI Stadium versus No. 12 USC, presented by Motorola Solutions. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
