Louise Dinard Takes Bronze At U23 European Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers' Louise Dinard captured bronze with France's women's pair at the U23 European Championships over the weekend.
Dinard brings home her second international medal this year, earning bronze for France in women's pair at the U23 World Championships in late July.
The Scarlet Knight senior and her teammate Jeanne Sellier opened up the championships with a second-place result in their heat. The duo finished in 8:00.01, coming in behind Romania's time of 7:54.53 and crossing in front of third-place Italy by 0.94
seconds.
In the finals, Dinard and the French boat held a solid third-place advantage throughout the race and rowed to a time of 8:04.49 for bronze. Together, they held a nearly 11-second advantage at the finish over fourth-place Germany. Romania captured gold in 7:56.20 and Lithuania captured silver in 7:59.36.
