  • Placed third in 100 and 200 breast vs. Villanova (1/17)
  • Took second place in 100 breast at Rutgers Pre-Season Tune-Up (10/12)
  • Claimed third place in 200 breast and with 200 medley relay at the Rutgers Pre-Season Tune-Up (10/12)
2018-19 (Sophomore)
  • Swam season best of 2:23.35 in 200 breast and season best 1:04.76 in 100 breast at Frank Elm Rutgers Invitational (11-30/12-1)
2017-18 (Freshman)
  • Posted season-best times in the 100 and 200 breast at 2018 Big Ten Championships (2/16-17)
  • Placed third in the 100 breast in dual meets against Yale (1/12) and Nebraska (1/26)
  • Made the B Final in the 200 breast at Texas Invitational (12/2), taking 14th place
  • Made the A Final and claimed third place in the 200 breast at Rutgers' Frank Elm Invitational (11/19)
  • Made collegiate debut with a third place finish in the 200 breast in a dual at Florida Gulf Coast (10/6)

  • A two-time school record holder at Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida swimming for head coach Alan Pfau

  • Competed at the YMCA Nationals in spring 2017 and placed fifth in the 100 Breast (1:03.15) and fourth in the 200 Breast (2:16.00)
  • Competed at the Nashville Summer LCM Futures Championships and won the 100- and 200-meter breaststroke events

Major: Industrial and Systems Engineering
I chose my major because: Industrial Engineering's focus is optimizing system processes, and that's something that's always interested me. By following this career path I can help make our global systems more environmentally and economically efficient, and hopefully in the process of doing so I can make an impact on the use of our climate's resources.
Favorite place to hang out on campus: the Livingston dining hall
The person I most admire is and why: my parents, they've always worked incredibly hard to make sure my siblings and I had a great childhood and beyond.
If I wasn’t playing (sport), I’d be: Traveling and hiking
Favorite professional athlete: Katie Meili
Favorite professional sports team: Dallas Cowboys
One word to describe myself in the pool: Driven
One word to describe myself out of the pool: Outgoing
Person who had greatest influence on my athletics career: My high school coaches, Tom Nielsen and Alan Pfau, for getting me into the sport and always pushing me to be my best.
I started playing my sport because: I was never coordinated enough for any of the sports that I had tried on land, so we figured "Why not try out the pool?"
I chose Rutgers because: Rutgers has the amazing combination of Big 10 level athletics with Ivy level academics and that was hard to pass up. The biggest thing that stuck out to me about Rutgers when I visited though was the passion of the students and faculty. Every person that I've met has an indisputable pride in what they do and being presented with the opportunity to be surrounded by individuals like that made my decision an easy one!

The movie I have watched the most in my lifetime is: Forrest Gump
The best actor/actress to play me in a movie is: Brie Larson
Favorite musician/group: Jimmy Buffett

If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a gold medal at: speed eating

What would you like to say to the R Fund donors who have provided for your scholarship and/or facility resources?: Thank you so much for allowing me to compete and study in a place as special as Rutgers. There really is nothing quite like what we have here and I am so lucky that we have generous people like you to help student-athletes like me pursue their dreams in the crown jewel of the Northeast!
How has Rutgers and donor support changed your life?: Rutgers and the support from its donors has allowed me to experience a whole new part of the country and study coursework that I'm passionate about at an incredible institution, all while pursuing my sport at the highest level in the Big 10!
