Prior to Rutgers: Wrestled at Pope John XXIII … No. 1 recruit at 141 pounds and No. 6 overall recruit nationally by FloWrestling for the class of 2019 … 2019 NJSIAA state champion at 138 pounds and four-time state medalist … finished historic scholastic career as a three-time district champion, a four-time region champion, Pope John's first-ever Beast of the East champion, and Sussex County's all-time wins leader with 158 career victories … capped off undefeated 42-0 senior campaign with a 138-pound state title … 2019 Region 1 and District 2 champion … 2019 All-USA Wrestling First Team selection by USA Today … NJAC Wrestler of the Year by the Star-Ledger … helped Pope John to its first NJSIAA Non-Public team title in 24 years during junior season … finished junior campaign with a 41-2 record and a third-place result at the NJSIAA Wrestling Championships at 138 pounds … 2018 Region 1 and District 2 champion … named 2017-18 First Team All-Herald … NJSIAA runner-up at 120 pounds with a 29-3 record as a sophomore in 2017 … finished third in the state as a freshman at 106 pounds in 2016 … 138-pound champion at Who's No. 1 … three-time Super 32 placewinner … competed at Beat the Streets event in Madison Square Garden, where he defeated five-time New York state champion and Arizona State signee Adam Busiello … also wrestled in the historic Pittsburgh Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic.
