The MSK has some of the most enthusiastic and school-spirited students, campus-wide! Whether on the field at SHI Stadium performing pregame and halftime, or giving a special performance beyond Rutgers, The Marching Scarlet Knights are a group that will capture people’s attention! In addition to playing for thousands of fans at SHI Stadium during football games, the MSK have taken their show on the road when called upon.
Game Days? We got you covered. The MSK practices before every game in preparation for Rutgers Gameday! Performances include:
- Playing at “Tailgate Village at The Rutgers Boardwalk,” where the band showcases their music to hype up the many Rutgers Fans in attendance and welcome the football team to the stadium. At the conclusion, band members take part in the tradition of the Scarlet Walk, which passes a statute commemorating the Birthplace of College Football.
- Marching in the “Stadium Parade” - greeting the die-hard Rutgers football fans and getting the place PUMPED!
- Performing a pregame and halftime show plus playing in the football stands! It’s a full and fun day of music, screaming and RU Pride!
