Former Rutgers football standout and NFL offensive lineman Kaleb Johnson begins his third year on staff as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. A four-year starter along the offensive line “On the Banks,” Johnson finished his Rutgers career with 50 starts and four bowl game appearances.
Johnson enjoyed a four-year NFL career from 2015-18, which included stints with Philadelphia (2018), Minnesota (2018), Chicago (2018), Kansas City (2017-18), Arizona (2016-17), Cleveland (2015) and Baltimore (2015).
Johnson was a four-year letterwinner for Rutgers from 2011-14, which included two seasons under current head coach Greg Schiano. Johnson was a two-time all-conference selection (2012, 2014) and captured the team’s Iron Knight Award, presented to the player who has demonstrated an exceptionally high level of mental and physical toughness throughout his career.
Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers in 2018. He taught economics for two years at Edward H. White High School in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida.
