Krystal Whitehead joined the Rutgers Athletic Department in August of 2024, where she serves as an Academic Advisor for Rutgers Football. She provides proactive, individualized academic and career advising to the football student-athletes, monitors and analyzes academic progress, ensures compliance with NCAA academic eligibility requirements, and collaborates closely with coaching staff, eligibility teams, and academic leadership to deliver comprehensive student-athlete support services.
Whitehead initially came to Rutgers University in 2019, serving as a program coordinator and then as an undergraduate academic counselor within the Department of Psychology prior to moving into the Athletic Department in 2024.
Prior to coming to Rutgers, Whitehead worked for the Piscataway Board of Education from 2013 to 2019, finishing as a payroll and enrichment program coordinator.
Whitehead holds two degrees from Rutgers, a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Master's of Global Sports Business.
