Nasir Jones is in his second season with Rutgers football in 2023. Jones previously worked in player development during the 2022 campaign.
Jones enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Rhode Island, where he appeared in 44 games at defensive back and linebacker for the Rams from 2015-18. In four seasons at URI, Jones recorded 160 tackles, 15 passes defended, 11.5 tackles-for-loss and two interceptions. Jones moved to linebacker as a senior and led the team in tackles with 78 in 2018.
A native of Newark, New Jersey, Jones earned his bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Rhode Island in 2018.
