TJ Weyl is in his third year as an offensive assistant at Rutgers. Weyl spent the previous two seasons on staff at Vanderbilt and also worked at Monmouth and Princeton.

Weyl served as a defensive graduate assistant with the Commodores from 2018-19, where he worked primarily with the inside linebackers. Vanderbilt picked up six wins and earned a trip to the Texas Bowl against Baylor in 2018. 

In 2017, Weyl served as quality control assistant for a Princeton offense that averaged 38.2 points, 483 total yards and 351 passing yards per game. In 2016, Weyl started his coaching career as an offensive quality control coach at Monmouth. 

A native of Medfield, Massachusetts, Weyl earned a master’s degree in liberal arts and sciences from Vanderbilt in 2020 and a bachelor’s degree in history from Cornell in 2012. Weyl played lacrosse for the Big Red and helped Cornell to back-to-back NCAA Final Four appearances in 2009 and 2010.
