Zach Adkins joined the Rutgers Athletics Department in 2016 as an Athletic Trainer and currently oversees the medical care for the Scarlet Knights softball program.
Adkins arrived at Rutgers as an intern athletic trainer with football in 2015 before being elevated to full-time status as an assistant athletic trainer. Prior to working with the softball program, he assisted with coverage of the Scarlet Knight football program.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Adkins earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. While at UT-Chattanooga, he assisted the athletic training staff in coverage for football, wrestling and softball.
