Christine Zoffinger

Christine began dancing and cheering at the age of five, launching a lifelong passion that took her from local studios to nationally ranked teams in both the U.S. and London. As a student at Rutgers University, she was a member of the first Rutgers Dance Team invited to compete at the prestigious UCA & UDA College Nationals in 1993. She went on to serve as captain, leading the team to a top-ten national finish the following year.

Following her graduation, Christine joined the Rutgers Spirit Program staff, initially serving as an Assistant Coach before being named Head Coach in 1998—a landmark year that culminated in the Dance Team’s first-ever National Championship. Under her leadership, the program has grown exponentially in both scope and success. Today, she oversees the entire Spirit Program, which includes Coed Cheer, the Dance Team, and the University’s mascots, while working closely day-to-day with the nationally ranked Dance Team.

Christine’s coaching achievements extend beyond Rutgers. She served as Head Coach of the U.S. National Pom Team at the ICU World Championships in 2018 and 2019, guiding Team USA to a gold medal in its debut appearance and a silver medal the following year.
In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Christine plays an integral role in game-day operations, collaborating with Rutgers Athletics' Marketing and Fan Experience teams for football and basketball events. A proud alumna, she holds both a BA and an MBA from Rutgers University. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and their two sons.
