Chris D’Andrea works as an Athletic Trainer, providing full-time athletic training services for men’s lacrosse and assisting in sport coverage with other teams. He has been a member of the Rutgers athletic department since 2004.
During that time, he served as the Interim Director of Athletic Training Services/Head Athletic Trainer from July of 2016 to December of 2017. He has coordinated medical coverage for four conference championships and has been an adjunct instructor for Neuromechanical Kinesiology in the Department of Kinesiology and Health since 2006. In 2017, Chris also earned his NASM-CES certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Prior to coming to Rutgers, D’Andrea spent three years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. He also spent seven years as the Athletic Trainer for Midview High School. D’Andrea has assisted in athletic training operations for three NFL teams: Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education with an Emphasis in Athletic Training, he earned a Masters of Health Education from Ashland University and Emergency & Primary Care in Athletic Training Certificate from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals.
Chris currently resides with his wife, Jeannie, in Lebanon NJ
