Dan Ryan serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director, Facilities, Events and Operations. He joined the athletic department in 2013, working in facilities, events and operations since 2015. He provides strategic oversight of day-to-day operations across all Rutgers Athletics venues.
Ryan leads all events and game management activities, including at SHI Stadium and Jersey Mike’s Arena, and serves as event and game manager for all home football and men’s and women’s basketball contests. He oversees the event management specialists and guest services teams, directing event staffing, responding to guest complaints, and security operations, and serves as the primary liaison to internal and external partners supporting home football games.
In addition, Ryan manages scheduling for all athletic facilities, oversees daily facility operations, and leads the planning and execution of all events, including revenue-generating events. He has played a key role in capital projects and renovations, including the RWJBarnabas Health Athletic Performance Center and Gary and Barbara Rodkin Academic Success Center, and oversees branding and signage across all Rutgers Athletics facilities.
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science & Sport Studies – Sports Management in 2012. He began his career in athletics as a marketing coordinator from 2012-13. He joined the facilities, events & operations staff in 2015 as assistant director.
Ryan and his wife Grace are the proud parents of daughter Scottie Anne, and their two dogs Ellie and Nemo.
