David Borchardt

David Borchardt currently serves as the Director of Athletic Training Services for Rutgers Athletics.

Prior to his arrival on the Banks, Borchardt spent 4 years at Temple University in the role of Associate Director of Athletic Training following 10 years as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Southern California.

Throughout his athletic training career, Borchardt has worked with a variety of sports at the collegiate level, including basketball, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, lacrosse, rowing/crew, track and field and water polo.

A member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Borchardt entered the professional ranks after earning his bachelor's degree in exercise science, with an emphasis in athletic training, from the University of Iowa in 2002. He completed his master's degree in exercise science at Wichita State in 2002, where he completed a graduate assistantship working primarily with men's and women's track and field and cross country.

Originally from Prairie City, Iowa, Borchardt currently resides in Belle Mead, New Jersey with his wife, Lauren and three children, Brayden, Isabelle and Emersen.
