Joe Vassilatos joined Rutgers Athletics in 2008. He currently serves as Associate Director of Athletics IT – Operations.

In his current role, Vassilatos provides strategic and operational leadership for IT services for the entire athletic department. He helps implement and support infrastructure, identity and access management, endpoint computing, and collaboration platforms.

Vassilatos also works as an officials replay technician with the Big Ten Conference, helping deploy, operate and troubleshoot multi-camera video replay systems for the league’s events held throughout campus.

Vassilatos graduated from NJIT with a bachelor's degree in 2008 and from Rutgers University with his master’s degree in 2014. He and his family reside in Readington, New Jersey.
