Karen Kelly joined the Rutgers University Office of Athletic Compliance in December 2019, after having served as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance at Seton Hall since July 2018. Along with her roles within the compliance office, Kelly is the sport administrator for the women's soccer program.
At Seton Hall, she oversaw all athletics department compliance efforts, including creating policies and procedures to ensure institutional control and rules education for all members of the department. She previously served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance at George Mason, and worked as the Director of Compliance at the University of Tennessee, the Assistant Director of Compliance at the University of Miami and the Director of Compliance at Florida Atlantic University.
Kelly holds a masters degree in Sports Administration from Temple University and a B.A. in fine arts communications from NYIT where she was a member of the track & field team. She also ran track at UConn before transferring to NYIT as an undergrad.
