Duffy came to Rutgers in the fall of 2021 as a dietitian working with men's and women's soccer, men's and women's lacrosse, and men's and women's golf.
Before coming to the Rutgers Sports Nutrition department, Lauren worked as a sports nutrition fellow at the Drexel University Center for Nutrition & Performance. In that time, she worked with the Drexel men’s and women’s basketball programs as well as the Philadelphia Union. She assisted with meal planning, hydration testing, and conducted a sports nutrition education series.
Prior to that, she gained experience in 2019 and 2020 as a dietetic intern for a number of different organizations. She worked with Columbia Athletics, Nutrition Energy, the Mt. Sinai Adolescent Health Center, Hoboken University Medical Center, and Living Plate.
A graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Duffy also earned a master's degree in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology at Teachers College, Columbia University. She also earned clinical credits in Nutrition & Dietetics at New York University.
