Lorenzo Tomasiello joined Rutgers University in July of 2022 as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach. He is responsible for all aspects of strength and conditioning for Wrestling and Gymnastics.
Prior to coming to Rutgers, Tomasiello was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Maryland, where he oversaw Wrestling, Gymnastics, Women’s Soccer, and Golf during his time there. In addition to this, Lorenzo also served the role of Assistant Sports Science Coordinator for the Olympic Strength and Conditioning Department, where he assisted with all aspects of athlete monitoring and sport technology needs and operations.
Lorenzo received his Master’s of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness Management from Missouri State University. During his time at Missouri State, Lorenzo was a Graduate Assistant with the Strength and Conditioning Department, where he oversaw women’s soccer and cross country, as well as assisted with several other Olympic sport teams. Lorenzo earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa, where he served as an Intern for the Olympic Strength and Conditioning Department.
Tomasiello is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified from the CSCCa and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA.
Tomasiello currently resides in his hometown of Matawan, New Jersey.
