Suydam joined Rutgers Athletics as Assistant Director of Compliance in June 2018, and was promoted to Associate Director of Compliance in August 2021, and Director of Compliance in August 2024. Suydam serves as the primary compliance liaison for the baseball, field hockey, gymnastics, and rowing programs.

Prior to joining the Rutgers staff, Suydam served as a Graduate Assistant of Compliance at West Virginia University for two years. At WVU, he managed and monitored recruiting activities for the Mountaineers’ 18 sports. While at WVU, Suydam earned his master’s degree in Sport Management.

Suydam graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science & Sport Studies in May of 2016. At Rutgers, he interned with the men’s basketball staff and the office of athletic compliance.
