Robert Schultz joined Rutgers Athletics in May 2017 and serves as equipment manager. In his role, Schultz oversees the equipment operations for the volleyball and swimming and diving programs, while aloso managing the Department's fleet of vehicles.
Schultz arrived on the Banks following a stint as Assistant Director of Equipment Operations at Stony Brook (2017-18) and as the head equipment manager at his alma mater, William Paterson (2013-16).
Throughout his career, he has been responsible for maintaining and organizing athletic equipment, managing inventory, fitting and safety checks. He has also administered purchasing duties through multiple portals, as well as overseeing inventory software through PeopleSoft and ACS Athletics.
Additionally, Schultz serves as a volleyball referee, officiating NCAA events in the northeast region.
He has been certified by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association since 2013. Schultz earned his bachelor's degree in history from William Paterson in 2011 and master's degree in sports administration from Fairleigh Dickinson in 2014.
Schultz resides in Rutherford.
