Ryan Daniels joined the Rutgers Athletics Department in 2023 and currently serves as an athletic trainer, overseeing the medical care for the Scarlet Knights men's and women's cross country and track & field programs.
Daniels returned to his home state after serving as Assistant Director of Athletic Training at Iowa State, working with the Cyclones’ track & field and cross country programs, along with the cheer and dance teams. Daniels was also a clinical preceptor in the university’s athletic training education program.
Prior to his time at ISU, Daniels was an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Texas - Permian Basin, a Division-II institution in Odessa, Texas. While in Texas, Ryan worked with several teams. including football and both men’s and women’s basketball. He also served as a clinical preceptor and course instructor in the university’s athletic training education program.
Daniels’ previously worked in the Big Ten, serving as a resident athletic trainer at the University of Maryland, assigned to the Terps' wrestling team.
Receiving a Master's of Science in athletic training from West Virginia University in 2017, Daniels earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Penn State in 2014. He is certified through the Board of Certification (ATC), a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Daniels is Graston M1 certified and holds the Performance Enhancement Specialist certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NSAM-PES).
