Miello to be Honored by All-America Football Foundation

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Mike Miello, former recruiting coordinator and running backs coach for the Rutgers football team and presently programs coordinator for the Scarlet Knights, will be among the honorees at the All-America Football Foundation's 56th Banquet of Champions at the Hyatt Regency in Princeton on Dec. 4..
Miello, an outstanding high school coach for 28 years at Ramapo and Hackensack before joining the Rutgers program in 2001, is one of five coaches who will receive the Gerald R. Ford All-America High School Coach Award. As head coach at Ramapo High School from 1978-2000, he guided the Green Raiders to a 144-71-1 record and four state titles. From 1970-75, Miello served as head coach at Hackensack, and compiled a 34-18-2 record, including the 1971 Group IV championship.
Miello came to Rutgers in 2001 to join Greg Schiano's staff after Schiano was named head coach of the Scarlet Knights. Miello served as recruiting coordinator/running backs coach for one season, before being named programs coordinator in 2002.
Also receiving the Gerald R. Ford All-America High School Coach Award will
be Pierce Frauenheim, the long-time coach at Immaculata High School in Somerville.
Frauenheim was an outstanding running back for the Scarlet Knights in the
early 1960s, and was a mainstay on the undefeated team that finished 9-0
and was
ranked No. 15 in the country.
