EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- A hot-shooting Seton Hall squad converted
55 percent from the floor (29-of-53) to snap Rutgers' four-game winning
streak, with an 85-58 victory Saturday night at the Continental Airlines Arena
in East Rutherford, NJ.
In a match-up of two New Jersey rivals, Seton Hall (15-5, 5-3 BIG EAST) opened
up an early 23-8 lead nine minutes into the contest and never looked back,
handing Rutgers (13-7, 5-5 BIG EAST) the loss.

allowed an opponent to shoot 50 percent or better from the field for an entire
game for only the second time this season.
Junior guard Ricky Shields (Upper Marlboro, MD) and senior forward Herve Lamizana
(Abidjan, Ivory Coast) led Rutgers with 14 points apiece. Lamizana finished
with 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Freshman guard Quincy Douby (Brooklyn, NY), the reigning BIG EAST Rookie of
the Week, continued to shine for the Scarlet Knights. For the fifth time in
the past six games, Douby registered double-digits in the scoring column with
13 points, including a pair of threes in 23 minutes of action.
Andre Barrett had a game-high 20 points for a Seton Hall team that saw five
Pirates score in double digits.
As a team, Rutgers was held to 21-54 (.328) for the game, its lowest of the
season.
The Scarlet Knights return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 10, traveling to Syracuse
for a BIG EAST tilt with the defending national champion Orangemen at 7 p.m.
