Rutgers Football Announces Three National TV Appearances
Jun 24 | Football
PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Rutgers football team's 2004 season opener will be televised by ABC Sports on September 4, at 3:30 p.m., one of three games this season that will appear on national television.
In addition to the RU-MSU game, Rutgers' final two regular-season games will also be televised nationally. On Saturday, November 20, the Scarlet Knights will head to Annapolis, MD for a meeting with Navy at 1:30 p.m. which will be broadcast live on College Sports Television (CSTV).
Rutgers' regular season finale vs. Connecticut, which begins at 10:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 25), will be shown nationally on ESPN2.
The remaining Rutgers television broadcasts, as well as game times, will be announced later this summer. The BIG EAST Conference will also announce its television package in late July.
Last season, the BIG EAST was among the national leaders in television coverage, with nearly every league contest televised either regionally or nationally. In addition, numerous non-conference games were also shown due in large part to the conference's longstanding relationship with ESPN.
