KINGSTON, RI – The Rutgers volleyball team (6-3)
  concluded tournament play on a high note, winning its final match at the URI
  Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 18. The Scarlet Knights defeated the Wildcats
  of New Hampshire in straight games (30-22, 33-31, 30-23).
RU was led by senior Stephanie Travioli (Arlington, TX) who tallied a team-high
  13 kills, followed by sophomore Lora Yankuaskas (Paramus, NJ) with 11 and junior
  Ashleigh Young (Albany, OR) with 10. Senior Abbey Martin (Topeka, KS) led all
  players with 43 assists.
On the defensive front, Rutgers recorded a total of 11 team blocks with Young
  adding a match-high six block assists. Junior Courtney Stout (San Marcos, CA),
  Travioli and Martin tallied eight digs apiece to lead the Scarlet Knights.
For her efforts, Martin was named tournament MVP of the URI Invitational.
  Senior Dawn Christjaener (Huntington Beach, CA) and Young each received selections
  to the All-Tournament team.
RU will return to action on Sept. 24-25 at the Patriot Invitational in Fairfax,
  VA. Rutgers will face Stony Brook on Sept. 24 at 5:00 p.m. The Scarlet Knights
  will play two matches on the final day of competition against Towson at 10:30
  a.m. and tournament host George Mason at 7:30 p.m.
