SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The Rutgers University volleyball team (9-12, 4-4 BIG EAST) dropped a 3-0 (33-31, 30-21, 30-19) decision to Seton Hall (12-11, 2-5 BIG EAST) on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Walsh Gymnasium in South Orange, NJ.
Junior Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, NJ) led all players with a match-high 19 kills, followed by seniors Courtney Stout (San Marcos, CA) and Ashleigh Young (Albany, OR) with seven kills apiece. Junior Tamarie Macon (Fayetteville, NC) added a team-high 20 assists, while freshman Roxy Calder (Oceanside, CA) chipped in 15.
Defensively, Stout posted a match-leading 16 digs, while junior Jocelyn Greenwald (Old Tappan, NJ) added 13 digs. Sophomore Amanda Meyer (Naperville, IL) registered a team-high four block assists and freshman Kyra Thompson (Tucson, AZ) had three block assists.
The Scarlet Knights will next be in action, when they travel to Syracuse, NY to go take on the Orange on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7:00 p.m.
