Women's Volleyball Drops BIG EAST Match to Syracuse

SYRACUSE, NY - The Rutgers University volleyball team (9-13, 4-5 BIG EAST) was swept 3-0 (30-22, 30-27, 30-26) by BIG EAST opponent Syracuse (20-7, 8-2 BIG EAST) on Friday, Oct. 28 at Manley Field House.
Junior Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, NJ) posted a team-high 14 kills and added nine digs, while junior Tamarie Macon (Fayetteville, NC) led with 18 assists.
Sophomore Amanda Meyer (Naperville, IL) registered seven total blocks (three solo, four assist) to lead the Scarlet Knight's defensive effort and senior Courtney Stout (San Marcos, CA) recorded a team-high 10 defensive digs.
Rutgers will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 30, against Marquette (11-10, 4-5 BIG EAST) at 2:00 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center.
