RU Volleyball Closes Out Regular Season On The Road

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Rutgers University volleyball team (10-15, 5-7 BIG EAST) will conclude its regular-season schedule with BIG EAST matches at DePaul (4-21, 1-11 BIG EAST) on Saturday, Nov. 12, and No. 8 Notre Dame (22-2, 11-1 BIG EAST) on Sunday, Nov. 13.
Rutgers is led by junior Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, NJ) and seniors Courtney Stout (San Marcos, CA), and Ashleigh Young (Albany, OR), who are among the conference leaders in kills, points, service aces and blocks per game. Yankauskas ranks sixth in both kills and points per game with 4.17 and 4.80, respectively. Stout is eighth in the BIG EAST with 0.39 service aces per game, while Young is 10th in the BIG EAST with 1.17 blocks per game.
Stout also leads the team with a 3.01 digs-per-game average and freshman Roxy Calder (Oceanside, CA) is first with 8.44 assists per game.
The Scarlet Knights will go up against DePaul on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Blue Demons are led by Mandy Moorberg with a 3.35 kills-per-game average and Maureen Zugulich with 2.99 digs per game.
Rutgers will take on No. 8 Notre Dame in its regular season finale on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The Irish are heavily represented on the conference leader board with six athletes ranked among the top in the BIG EAST, including Ashley Tarutis, who leads the BIG EAST in assists per game with 12.88, and Lauren Brewster, who is second in blocks per game with 1.55.
