CHICAGO, IL - Junior Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, NJ) posted a match-high 15 kills and added four block assists, as the Rutgers University volleyball team (11-15, 6-7 BIG EAST) defeated BIG EAST newcomer DePaul (4-22, 1-12 BIG EAST) on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the DPU Athletic Center.
Sophomore Amanda Meyer (Naperville, IL) followed Yankauskas with 12 kills and a match high seven block-assists, while senior Ashleigh Young (Albany, OR) chipped in 11 kills. Freshman Roxy Calder (Oceanside, CA) helped the Scarlet Knights' offensive attack with a team-best 20 assists and junior Tamarie Macon (Fayetteville, NC) added 17 assists.
Joining Meyer with an outstanding defensive performance was junior Jocelyn Greenwald (Old Tappan, NJ), who registered a match-leading 15 defensive digs. Senior Courtney Stout (San Marcos, CA) and freshman Kyra Thompson (Tucson, AZ) followed with six digs. Stout also had seven kills.
The Scarlet Knights will return to action for its final match of the regular-season at Notre Dame on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Joyce Center.
