Yankauskas Earns Second-Team All-BIG EAST Selection

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers junior outside hitter Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, NJ) was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team, the conference office announced.
On the final BIG EAST leader board, Yankauskas finished the season ranked fourth in kills per game with 4.22 and fifth in points per game with 4.89. She also was second on the team with 27 service aces on the season.
Yankauskas, who was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on two occasions (Sept. 19, Oct. 17), served as one of the Scarlet Knights’ top offensive threats. She posted double-digit kills in all but four matches and was second on the team with eight double-doubles. Yankauskas also bested her previous career highs in three categories including, assists (five), digs (23), and block assists (seven).
The Scarlet Knights finished the season 11-16 overall and 6-8 in conference play, finishing two spots shy of BIG EAST Tournament contention.
