Women's Basketball to Host Banquet April 17

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers women’s basketball program will host its annual Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet Sunday, April 17, at the Hyatt New Brunswick.
The event will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:00 p.m., followed by the banquet at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $40 per person, and $20 for children. For more information or to make reservations, please contact the Rutgers Women’s Basketball Office at 732-445-4251.
This year’s Hall-of-Fame inductee will be the Scarlet Knight 1999-2000 team that posted a 26-8 record and advanced to the school’s first-ever NCAA Tournament Final Four. Rutgers, after a runner-up finish at the 2000 BIG EAST Tournament, won four straight games to advance to the Final Four in nearby Philadelphia. The second-seeded Scarlet Knights upset No. 1 Georgia in the West Region final 59-51 to punch their ticket to the Final Four.
