PISCATAWAY, NJ - Freshman midfielder Amy Lewis (Hainesport, NJ) was named to the BIG EAST Field Hockey Honor Roll for the second time this season for her efforts in losses against Villanova and Saint Joseph's last weekend.
Lewis, who leads the Scarlet Knights in goals (four), points (11) and shots on goal (15), has been a force on the field all season for Rutgers, and despite her freshman class standing, she has been playing like a wily veteran.
Lewis was named to her second Honor Roll after she assisted on a goal by sophomore forward Catherine Badolato (Berlin, NJ) in the RU 5-2 loss against No. 17 Villanova on Friday, Sept. 23, and after she scored the only Scarlet Knight goal against Saint Joseph's on Sunday, Sept. 25.
Lewis was previously highlighted on the Honor Roll after she scored the first and second goals of her career against Lafayette in a 2-1 Rutgers penalty stroke-off victory on Sept. 11.
The Scarlet Knights will be in action on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 8:00 p.m. against the Owls of Temple at the RU Stadium Complex.
