Rutgers Athletics to Collect for Hurricane Relief Saturday

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Members of Rutgers' 30 intercollegiate athletic programs will lend their support to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts Saturday, Sept. 10, at RU's football home opener.

Prior to the 3:30 p.m. kickoff against Villanova, Scarlet Knight student-athletes will be stationed at the entrance gates to Rutgers Stadium, collecting donations for the Red Cross.

Fans are encouraged to make monetary donations, either in cash or by check (made payable to the Red Cross). Every dollar raised at Rutgers Stadium will be forwarded to the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.
