PHILADELPHIA, PA -The Rutgers volleyball team (5-12, 2-5 BIG EAST) dropped a 3-0 match to Villanova (11-11, 4-3 BIG EAST) on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats came up with three-consecutive wins, 30-21, 30-21, 30-16 to get the conference victory.
Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, N.J.) led the Scarlet Knights with 10 kills in the match, while Amanda Meyer (Naperville, Ill.) chipped in five kills against the Wildcats. Stephanie Moore (Dallas, Texas) and Yankauskas led the team in defensive digs with 10 apiece, while Jocelyn Greenwald (Old Tappan, N.J.) had 22 assists in the match.
Yankauskas also led the team in block assists with three, while Mallory McEnroe (Grand Rapids, Mich.), Sophie Cook (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Meyer all had two block assists.
The Scarlet Knights will at Georgetown on Friday, Oct. 20, at 8:00 p.m. followed by another BIG EAST match at South Florida on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 2:00 p.m. to wrap up a five-match road trip.
