Rutgers Field Hockey to Host No. 12 Louisville

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -The Rutgers field hockey team (6-10, 1-5 BIG EAST) will host BIG EAST opponent Louisville (10-6, 3-1 BIG EAST) on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 1:00 p.m. Rutgers enters the weekend having won its previous game, a 3-1 decision against Vermont on Oct. 15.
Amy Lewis (Hainesport, N.J.) scored two of RU's three goals against the Catamounts to increase her team-leading goal total to 19. Kristen Johnson (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) scored the team's third goal of the day against Vermont.Goalie Rosalyn Wentko (Dallas, Pa.) made four saves for the Scarlet Knights while allowing just one goal. Karen Brewster (Chico, Calif.) also had a solid game for the Scarlet Knights, contributing with several big attacking plays.
Louisville is coming off a 3-1 win over Northeastern on Oct. 15. Senior Jessica Javelet posted her second hat trick in a week in the win. The Cardinals will face Georgetown on Friday, Oct. 20, before playing the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers and Louisville have met only once prior to this season, with Louisville winning an 8-1 decision over the Scarlet Knights on Oct. 21, 2005.
Following Sunday's game, Rutgers will host Cornell on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m., in the team's final home game of the season.
