WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Rutgers volleyball team (8-19, 2-6 BIG EAST) dropped a 3-0 match to Georgetown (7-13, 1-6 BIG EAST) on Friday night at McDonough Arena.
Rutgers was led by Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, N.J.) and Amanda Meyer (Naperville, Ill.), offensively, as Yankauskas recorded 12 kills and Meyer had 11 kills, respectively. Jocelyn Greenwald (Old Tappan, N.J.) led the team in assists with 17, while Tamarie Macon (Fayetteville, N.C.) added 11 assists for the Scarlet Knights.
Defensively, Yankauskas came up with another team-high, making 11 digs for Rutgers. Jamie Godfrey (Rahway, N.J.) and Greenwald each added nine digs apiece.
Macon added a solo block and a block assist for the Scarlet Knights.
Rutgers will travel to Tampa, Fla. on Sunday, Oct. 22, to take on South Florida at 2:00 p.m.
