Rutgers Volleyball Falls in BIG EAST Match to Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY - The Rutgers University volleyball team (5-10, 2-3 BIG EAST) was defeated by Louisville (10-6, 4-1 BIG EAST) 3-0 (30-15, 30-17, 30-12) on Sunday afternoon at Cardinal Arena in Louisville, Ky.

Senior Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, N.J.) led RU with nine kills, followed by junior Amanda Meyer (Naperville, Ill.) with four. Sophomore Roxy Calder (Oceanside, Calif.) and freshman Brittani Rendina (Lisle, Ill.) each added three kills apiece. Calder also posted team highs in assists (17) and digs (nine).

Rutgers will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 7, for a 2:00 p.m. match-up with the Cincinnati Bearcats.
