CINCINNATI, OH - The Rutgers volleyball team (5-11, 2-4 BIG EAST) fell in BIG EAST action to Cincinnati (13-4, 4-2 BIG EAST) on Sunday afternoon at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati Ohio. The Bearcats topped the Scarlet Knights 3-0 (19-30, 16-30, 22-30).
Senior Lora Yankauskas (Paramus, N.J.) and junior Amanda Meyer (Naperville, Ill.) guided RU's offense against the Bearcats as they each recorded a team-high 11 kills. Sophomore setter Roxy Calder (Oceanside, Calif.) led the team with 32 assists.
Yankauskas also added 11 digs to help bolster the Scarlet Knights' defense. Senior Jocelyn Greenwald (Old Tappan, N.J.) led Rutgers with 12 digs, while freshman Brittani Rendina (Lisle, Ill.) chipped in nine.
Rutgers will continue its five-opponent road trip when it takes on the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 2:00 p.m. in Villanova, Pa.
