NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - The Rutgers volleyball team (5-17) dropped a close 3-2 (24-30, 30-24, 14-30, 30-26, 8-15) decision to non-conference opponent Fordham (17-14) on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the College Avenue Gym.
Junior Amanda Meyer (Naperville, Ill.) led the Scarlet Knights with a career and match high 22 kills, followed by junior Mallory McEnroe (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and senior Tamarie Macon (Fayetteville, N.C.) with 10 apiece. Sophomore Roxy Calder (Oceanside, Calif.) paced the Scarlet Knight offense with a team-best 40 assists.
On the defensive front, freshman Brittani Rendina (Lisle, Ill.) led all players with 24 digs, while Calder chipped in seven to go along with six from senior Jocelyn Greenwald (Old Tappan, N.J.) and five each from both Macon and Meyer.
The Scarlet Knights will close out the regular season home-stretch against instate and BIG EAST rival Seton Hall on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 p.m. Prior to the match, the Rutgers volleyball program will honor its three graduating seniors - Greenwald, Macon and Lora Yankauskas
