Rutgers Football to Host Ohio on Sept. 16

PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Rutgers University football team will host Ohio on Sept. 16, 2006, at Rutgers Stadium, it was announced today.
The Scarlet Knights' matchup with the Bobcats replaces a previously announced contest with the University at Buffalo on the same date, and is a one-game contract.
The Rutgers football tem will face a 12-game schedule in 2006 that includes six games at Rutgers Stadium. The Scarlet Knights open the season at North Carolina on Sept. 2, and then will host three consecutive games at Rutgers Stadium, with the home opener on Sept. 9 against Illinois. Starting times and television information for the 2006 season will be released at a later date.
The Scarlet Knights are currently in the midst of Spring Practice 2006, which culminates with the annual Scarlet-White Game on April 22 at 2 p.m. A day full of fun and activities is planned around the Scarlet-White Game, including FanFest, beginning at 12:30 p.m., and the Rutgers Football Touchdown Club's Auction beginning at 5 p.m.
