Lewis Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Sophomore Amy Lewis (Hainesport, NJ) was named to the BIG EAST Field Hockey Honor Roll for her efforts in the opening weekend of the 2006 Rutgers field hockey season.
Lewis, a second-team all-BIG EAST selection as a freshman last year, scored six goals in the season's first two games, a 6-3 win over West Chester on Sunday, which came on the heels of a season-opening 5-4 loss at Drexel the previous day.
Lewis tallied a pair of goals in the season opener vs. Drexel and then exploded for four goals to lead the Scarlet Knights to the victory over West Chester.
The Scarlet Knights will next be in action on Wednesday, August 30, when they travel to Easton, PA to meet the Leopards of Lafayette. Face-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
