Rutgers Women's Basketball Looks to Keep Winning Streak Alive

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers women's basketball returns home to Piscataway, N.J. with a showdown versus Georgetown on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The Scarlet Knights (9-5, 4-1 BIG EAST) are in pursuit of their fifth-straight victory, overall and in league play.
RU posted a 62-50 win at Seton Hall in its last outing and has won seven of its last eight games. The four-game win streak is the longest of the season for the Scarlet Knights and the current longest in the BIG EAST.
Freshman Epiphanny Prince (Brooklyn, N.Y.) continues to pace Rutgers in the scoring column, averaging 16.1 per game. The first-year guard leads the league in steals (3.1), is ranked ninth in scoring and eighth in assist/turnover ratio (1.69). In addition, Prince has upped her rebounding totals, averaging 8.0 over the past two games (4.7 on the year).
Sophomore center Kia Vaughn is posting 13.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. The Bronx native tops the conference and is 14th in the country in blocked shots (2.8/game). Vaughn has tallied six double-doubles on the year and posted double-digit rebounding scoring in 16 games and double-digit rebounding numbers in 15 games.
Rutgers holds a 12-2 edge in the all-time series with the Hoyas. Georgetown enters the contest with an 11-6 ledger, 1-3 in BIG EAST play. GAME NOTES
