Rutgers Volleyball Closes Out Season With Loss at Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Sophomore Kenzie Tonn (Fishers, Ind.) recorded a career-high six kills to lead the Rutgers University volleyball team, but it wasn't enough as Pittsburgh swept the Scarlet Knights 3-0 (30-8, 30-20, 30-12) at the Fitzgerald Field House Sunday afternoon.
Rutgers, who falls to 3-22 overall and 1-13 in BIG EAST action, ends its regular season, while Pittsburgh (15-14, 8-6 BIG EAST) moves into a tie for sixth place in the conference.
Tonn added seven digs to her stat line, which tied freshman Broghan Miller (West Hartford, Conn.) for the team lead. Alexis Williams (Wichita Falls, Texas) and Stephanie Moore (Dallas, Texas) tied for the team lead with six assists each.
Diana Andreyko led the Panthers with a match-high 23 kills on only 37 attempts. Nicole Taurence posted a match-high 41 assists in the victory.
