PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers women's lacrosse midfielder Michelle Poole is featured in this week's "Faces in the Crowd" section of Sports Illustrated.
A sophomore from Hackettstown, N.J., Poole helped the Scarlet Knights post their first-ever win over Cornell to commence the season. The upset over the 11th-ranked Big Red has propelled RU to a current 5-1 mark.
Poole tallied four of her 13 season goals versus Cornell on Feb. 24. She has tallied three or more scores in three games this spring, including notching a hat trick on this past Wednesday in an 11-6 win over Monmouth.
Rutgers is currently ranked No. 17 in the IWLCA national poll and No. 19 in the Inside Lacrosse media poll. The Scarlet Knights are idle until Wednesday, March 21 when they entertain Hofstra at 4:00 p.m.
