Republic of Ireland National Team Trains at Yurcak Field

Ireland goes through its paces during a practice session at Yurcak Field on Tuesday morning.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers University continues to be the training facility of choice for high-level international soccer clubs. This past Monday and Tuesday, the Republic of Ireland National Football Team trained at RU's Yurcak Field in preparation for the team's international friendly against Ecuador on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. at Giants Stadium.

 Ireland's manager Steve Staunton, his staff and squad were tremendously impressed with all the facilities and support that Rutgers offered.

Following Wednesday night's match against Ecuador, Ireland will play Bolivia at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
